You should have seen how excited the girls were went the box of goodies for their Mega Bloks Barbie party came--you would have thought it was Christmas! They were so excited about all those pretty pink boxes with BARBIE on them!! And, when the girls got to our house for the Mega Bloks Barbie party, they were just as excited :)
And who wouldn't be excited to play with these adorable Mega Bloks Barbie sets? Mega Bloks sent us a bunch of fabulous sets to play with including:
Barbie Build n Style Luxury Mansion
Barbie Build n Style Pool Party
Barbie Build n Style Ice Cream Cart
Barbie Build n Style Fashion Stand
And I know once my daughters find out how many other adorable sets there are, I know they are going to be adding Barbie Build n Style sets to their birthday list. (Seriously, the pet shop is the cutest thing.) And I don't mind them asking for more of these awesome sets because I've been so impressed with the sets that came for our party. These Barbie Build n Style sets are perfectly designed for little girls in all sorts of pinks and purples and even have sparkly pink bricks, which of course my girls noticed right away :) I love Mega Bloks because the sets are meant to be customized exactly the way your child wants. And because the sets can be build any way your child can imagine, the play can change again and again--making it fresh and fun each and every time! As a former teacher, I love all the creativity, math, physics, social skills and verbal skills that a toy like this promotes.
The hit of the party was of course the Luxury Mansion, which the girls kept arguing over. But luckily it was big enough for quite a few of them to play with at the same time--it's so big that my daughter kept calling it a hotel! Though I must say that Barbie took quite a few swims in the pool during our party as well, especially down the water slide :)
I especially like how the rooms of the house can be stacked in many different ways, making it a single story building, a 6 story tower or any combination in between. That way we could even separate the pieces and give each girl her own little mini-house for a while. I do wish there was a way for the house pieces to stay together a little more firmly when the house was built, as it seemed to me that the side parts of the mansion weren't connected to the center strongly and that the floors of each room weren't very secure. However honestly this just seemed to be me more concerned about it than anything else because the girls didn't seem to have a problem with it when they were playing with the mansion.
Check out Ken floating in the pool
Barbie getting a new hat at the boutique :)
And I couldn't resist this cute shot of one of the little brothers who tagged along--
love how he's trying to hoard all the balls in his hands!
Look at Barbie watching TV!
So intent on her work
They loved the elevator in the house--so fancy :)
Dressing Barbie
Pool party time
Down the slide he goes!
I love how much she is concentrating
The moms had so much fun seeing the girls play and build
I love seeing them share and work together
I know that these fun, cute Barbie Mega Bloks sets are going to continue to get played with again and again at our house. Barbie, pink, girly, fun and Mega Bloks--could there be a better combination? ;)
